So first my evil kettehs are all like: Um, no, we're gonna stare at you and make you too distracted by our cuteness to get any writing done.
Then Lilah's like: Yeah, this is boring and you're not even really writing anyway.
Then Piper's like: Just 'cuz Lilah left, don't even think I'm getting down.
And then just for emphasis: YEAH BEYOTCH.
Then I kick Piper off and she's like: I'm going to SUFFOCATE myself in these bags, look what you've done!
And just as I make it back to my desk, Piper's like: BOOLAKASHAH. BAM! No writing for you.
And Lilah jumps back on the bandwagon and is all like: I'm going to hypnotize you with my scary demon eyes.
And then she's like: SCARY DEMON EYES. You. May. Not. Write.
And then she's all like: Heh. You're not writing, you're looking at PerezHilton. Oooooo. What'd crazysauce Tom Cruise do THIS time?
Sigh.
*I swear I did NOT pose my cats
*No cats were harmed in the making of this blog
*Piper did not, in fact, suffocate herself. Instead she beat me back to my chair, which I believe is evident by the pictures, but hey... you never know.
*I do realize Tom Cruise crazy jokes are so last season, or maybe even the season before that, but still...
♥ me
Aww, they are so cute. Still, no using the cats as an excuse...I want more pages to read!
ReplyDeleteMy cat's decided she likes to sit right in the middle of my desk, staring at the monitor. Perfectly blocking the monitor too, of course. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd this is why I don't have cats...too funny!
ReplyDeleteImagine that with children and you've got a snapshot of my house (minus the bag suffocation of course).
ReplyDeleteYour cats are beautiful! You can always tell which animals are well-cared for!
My cat loves playing with plastic bags, too... What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteKitties!! Hah, Quentin will sit on my lap, and she'll be all serene and calm UNTIL I start typing. Then she'll bat at my hands. If I pause to pat her head or to get my hands away from her, she goes back to being serene and calm.
ReplyDeleteAnyway stop making your blog so funny. It's getting in the way of my writing. :-P
Woohoo! Crazy Cat Lady at the computer.
ReplyDeleteI write with a Pomeranian in my lap, and I don't mean metaphorically. We have a little Pom who gets up with me at 4:15AM and writes each morning.
The Corgi, he's lazy and sleeps in, more of a teenager than a teenager. Unless you have a fuzzy yellow ball in your hand, then he's all ears and feet.
Outstanding pictures.

Sometimes I think it's good when our pets are crazy, because it gives us an excuse to post pictures of them all over our blog (which is actually about writing, and not at all about our adorable pets, though a topic change is possibly in order.)
ReplyDeleteLMFAO! They're beautiful & so right, Perez Hilton is not writing ;)
ReplyDeleteOooo, kitties! This was such a fun post - and your kitties are adorable! :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL! My cat has the same weird obsession with plastic bags. She also likes to step all over the keyboard of my macbook when I'm writing, just so I know she's there, I guess.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteYour cats remind me of my kids;)
Aw, cats. They love laying on computers and papers and basically anything you're working on! I've got the same issue. Your cats are adorable by the way. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't know better, I'd say all writers' cats got together and decided this was the way to behave. My gray tabby finally stopped climbing on everything, but now he curls up at my feet and "pats" my bare toes or tugs at my socks. He also starts caterwalling in the hall until I stop writing and go visit with him a minute.
ReplyDeleteTom Cruise is so cute. Even if he is a little nuts.
ReplyDeleteBut you're kitties? Beeeeeeeautiful. Can't wait to meet them!!!
Aw...SO cute. Also, um, add one more cat into the mix, and you have what happens to me when I write--or TRY to write. :)
ReplyDeleteYour cats are too hilarious. Ya know, pets are great stress relievers, I firmly believe that. You needed the laugh and the break. :)
ReplyDeleteTom Cruise jokes are *always* in. Hasselhoff jokes were out in like 1999, but I'm still clinging desperately to them. Hilarious post! :)
ReplyDeleteCute cats! Just don't look into their eyes & you'll be fine... except I'm pretty sure that's impossible. :)
ReplyDeleteI think they want their own series.
ReplyDeleteI think you should give it to them.
You could call it .... DEMON EYES.
This post is hilarious. I spit out my water. They are pretty kitties -- but evil kettehs. LOL.

ReplyDeleteMy cats are always jealous of my writing and anything related to it...or anything that takes my attention away from them.
ReplyDeleteI was once lying on the floor reading Writing the Breakout Novel and my cat Rocky was not having it at all. Eventually I left to go watch TV (in the same room but I was on the couch) but it wasn't good enough for him. He tried to destroy the book so that I couldn't return to it.
Also, my cat Severus is always nicking my chair. They like to sit on my lap while I'm at the computer and if I do not pay enough attention to them, they hop up on the desk so that Ican't see what I'm doing. >.>
You have such cute kitties. Kitty stare powah!
Oh wow I need to post about my kitties WAY more often--your comments have cracked me UP =)
ReplyDeleteAnd, Myra--YES! DEMON EYES... coming soon to a bookstore near you ;-)
Thanks for all the kitty compliments y'all <3
Aw, I don't even particularly like cats and I thought your kittehs were cute :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, these are great pictures!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love it!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! You're kittehs are adorable - and obviously plotting to take over the world - but mostly adorable.
ReplyDeleteIf my cat and your cats had blogs they`d,like, totally be friends. And then I`d be hooped because my cat would probably sit on the computer all day, literally and figuratively, and tell the world what an awful person I am because she only gets fed twice a day,(3 times a day when she fools my husband.) - G
ReplyDeleteLOL!! This is why I am really THISCLOSE to jumping on the cat bandwagon. They just seem to go along with writerly types, hand in hand. (We all need procrastination assistance, right??)
ReplyDeleteSeriously your kitties are SO adorable :)
Your cats are adorable! And, in a strange twist of fate, almost the exact same thing happens to me when I try to write. I mean, I don't have cats or anything. But somehow, I find myself sitting on the printer, in a bunch of shopping bags, and/or threatening to suffocate myself. Er...wait, I mean, I end up on gossip websites.
ReplyDeleteI wonder when science will make the correlation between writers and cats.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Those demon eyes would give the warrior cats a run for their money.
ReplyDeletep.s. award time! http://wp.me/sUnjt-823
ReplyDeleteLOL! I think we all have some focus problems from time to time. At least yours are cute. :)
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Too bad I don't have any cats...the only thing I can blame my lack of productivity on is the Internet and Bravo. Wah.
ReplyDeletehahaha! It's a good thing I don't have cute kittys to distract me. I do enough of that on my own :)
