Vonna Carter created a list of 2011 Children's Writing Conferences including which agents will attend each con. It's not absolute of course, but I know she's been adding to it as she's learned of new cons/agent attendance. If you're considering going to a conference this year, or trying to figure out where to meet agents--Vonna's list is an excellent starting point!
And, she's also got one listing which editors will be at which cons this year!
The links are above, but if you ever forget and don't feel like scrolling through my posts to find it, I added it to my "Resources for Writers" tab at the top of the screen.
And speaking of cons...
Are you thinking about going to any this year?
And, if so, which ones?
You can find me at:
March 12: SCBWI Spring Into Action (MD/DE/WV) Con
March 16-20: Virginia Festival of the Book (most likely)
June 23-38: ALA (New Orleans)
October 27-30: World Fantasy Con (San Diego)
But the list is sure to grow--so I added a "Find Me In 2011" tab above!
Thanks for the info. For the last several years, I attended the NESCBWI conference. It's been great for connections and feedback.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great resource! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnd lucky you! You already have some fab conferences lined up!
Thanks for the info! I plan to go to the James River Writers Conference again this year. Last year was fantastic and so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI plan on going to WFC, because Simon is making me. So I will see you there!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm mostly going just to meet writers. I'm too scared of agents.
I love that resource! I want to go to a convention this year--I have to decide on one soon. They sound like so much fun!
